Tonight’s episode of True Blood was absolutely amazing. Mainly because of Eric and his delectable Swedish good looks. From the chaotic aftermath of the suicide bombing to Godric’s beautifully rendered death scene, “I Will Rise Up” definitely left a lasting impression.

Although I’ve been quite taken by Eric pretty much ever since he first appeared on the show, last week’s “Timebomb” and this week’s “I Will Rise Up” made me realize just how much I loved him. Yes, Bill is all Southern charm and good intentions, but he has none of Eric’s Nordic manliness and virility, nor does Bill possess the unbearably sexy cold exterior that Mr. Northman has perfected. All in all, Eric tops Bill any day. I can’t help but feel excited for the episodes to come (only three of them left this season!) now that Sookie is inextricably “connected” to Eric! Sorry, Bill.

Now onto Godric. His death scene was undeniably the saddest scene of True Blood, but I can’t help but feel that his presence was a bit too short. He had just found a place in the viewers’ hearts when suddenly he dies? I know that many people will be disappointed and even angry at the writers for getting rid of this all-too-lovable character, but I have to agree that his death was inevitable. The way the writers built up empathy in the audience towards him made Godric’s death all the more tragic and powerful. So I do have to give the writers a few kudos for that.

I have decided that I will move to Sweden, marry Alexander Skarsgard and have half-Swedish, quarter-Chinese children. Sorry all you swooning ladies out there, he’s MINE!
